Is Crown Affair Worth the Price Tag?

The past two weeks I have been testing out a few new crown affair products, including their hair towel and leave-in conditioner. The two products came in a limited edition holiday set, and after hearing so many raving reviews about the two products I wanted to test it out for myself. I want to start off by saying I’ve been a follower of Crown Affair for several years- I discovered them my freshman year of college when browsing the Sephora website one day, and used their silk hair ties for quite some time. This was really the only product I ever bought from the brand but I’ve kept my eye on new product releases since. I will say $40 to me seemed absolutely crazy for a towel (a small towel nonetheless) and I really went back and forth for a while on whether it would be worth taking a hit on my bank account. Naturally like usual I caved in after obsessing over it for weeks and I’ve tested out both products for a few weeks.

I can honestly say I really like both products, especially the towel, and although I wish the price was a little lower I think it does what it says. I usually use Turbie Twists from Amazon, but this towel honestly dries faster, is gentler on hair and is conveniently a lot bigger for people with longer hair. On the website they claim the towel will last for years, and I think if that’s the case then it’s worth investing in. I also like the leave-in as it comes in a insanely large, boujee glass bottle that looks so good on my vanity table hahah. The scent is AMAZING and it’s very lightweight so it’s not easy to over-do it and make your hair look greasy or weighed down like I’ve noticed a lot of leave-ins/styling creams/oils do. This product is honestly all in one because I like to use it on dry ends as a hydrating product, after I’ve styled my hair to tame frizz, and of course when drying my hair.

In general I love the brand for its simplistic, clean and effortlessly chic look, and I’ve truly enjoyed every product that I’ve tried. I’m very excited to hopefully get to try more of their items in the future (I have my eye on their dry shampoo and a few of their hair brushes:) ) and I think this brand is well worth a try if you’re looking to invest in new hair care.
